Public Accounts Committee
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is Parliament’s spending watchdog. The PAC is an influential and independent body that works with the National Audit Office to scrutinise Government spending and make sure the tax-payer gets value for money. Helen was appointed to the Commitee following her election in May 2005.
You can read about the work of the PAC, including its reports and details of evidence sessions, on its official website.
