New constituency office opens in Bishop
Foreign Secretary and MP for South Shields David Miliband, visited Bishop Auckland on Friday 3rd October to open Helen’s new constituency office at 1 Cockton Hill Road, Bishop Auckland.
The Foreign Secretary was joined by local party members and supporters to see the new office, which is located next to Bishop Auckland railway station and Bishop Auckland General Hospital.
Helen said: “I am absolutely delighted to be able move into our new office. I have been planning to relocate my Bishop office ever since I was elected in 2005, and I know this will make it much easier for me to work effectively for my constituents.
I am also very grateful to David for taking the time out his hectic schedule: I think this is the first time since 1931 that the Foreign Secretary has been in Bishop Auckland, and I really appreciate him being at the opening”.
