NEW CONFERENCE ON THE RURAL ECONOMY PLANNED
Helen has spoken out about the role of tourism in the local economy in South West Durham, and announced plans to hold a conference for local people to discuss the matter.
Responding to a growing debate in Teesdale, Helen argues that the area already has a wide range of attractions. Local tourism would benefit more from investment in quality accommodation, better restaurants and greater workforce skills, rather than spending money on new attractions.
