GOOD NEWS FOR COUNDON SCHOOL
Following a request from Helen, the Department for Education and Skills has agreed to give a one off grant of £130,000 for urgent repairs to St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary School in Coundon.
Helen said, “I visited the school before Christmas and met children and staff. I was concerned about the state of the buildings so I asked education ministers to intervene.
“Taken together with the new health centre in Coundon, which has GPs, dentists and a Sure Start children’s centre, this shows the Government’s commitment to improving the lives of ordinary people in small communities.”
