FA AWARD FOR FOOTBALL CLUB
Helen will be presenting an official award to local Bishop Auckland football club, St Mary’s, this Easter Saturday (15 April) at St John’s School, Woodhouse Lane.
The FA Charter Standard Clubs programme was launched in February 2001 and is aimed at boys and girls under sixteen years old. It allows children and parents find a club in their local area that meets FA standards.
Helen said, “I am delighted to be presenting the FA Charter Award to St Mary’s. The award shows that the club has reached certain standards in terms of providing opportunities for young people and the level of training of its coaches.
“It’s great news for the 380 junior members of St Mary’s that the club is meeting the FA standard. It’s also good for any other young people in Bishop Auckland who want to get involved in playing football in an organised setting.”
