Durham Gateway set to boost local economy
Helen Goodman, Member of Parliament for Bishop Auckland, has welcomed proposals for a £100 million regeneration project at the Green Lane industrial site in Spennymoor.
The development, led by construction company Carillion and local property developers Arlington, would create an estimated 2,000 jobs and provide a much-needed boost to the local economy.
Helen said:
“These plans are fantastic news for Spennymoor and proof of the durability of the local economy.
When I met recently with the managing director of Arlington, I was really impressed by the scale and ambition of their proposals and I look forward to seeing the final submissions in the summer”.
