DEBATE TO TAKE PLACE ON COUNTY DURHAM AMBULANCES
Helen has secured a House of Commons debate on rural ambulance services in County Durham.
Helen applied for the debate after becoming increasingly concerned about proposed changes to rural ambulance services in the County, especially as they will affect the Teesdale part of the constituency.
The debate will take place on Wednesday evening next week and a Government Minister will respond to the concerns Helen will raise.
Helen said, “The proposed changes to rural ambulance provision have provoked a great deal of concern amongst local people.
“I thought it was important that I took up this issue directly with Ministers to ensure that they are aware of the situation.
“It is vital that we have the capacity in rural areas to deal with the full range of life-threatening emergencies that may occur.”
