Working Hard for all in Bishop Auckland

DIARY: WEDNESDAY

Felt really hungry in the afternoon and had to have a sleep, because I was so tired.
One question I’ve been asked is whether the supermarkets’ prices are too high – in a week when Tesco announced £1billion profits it’s hard not to think that they are creaming off too much. But the position varies between the different retailers. At one end of my constituency, I have farmers who are being paid only 16p/litre for milk, which they tell me is unsustainable; if their margins are cut further our agriculture and countryside will suffer so it’s a complex business.
