Expenses

IMG_3412.JPGI was given a clean bill of health by the independent Legg Inquiry into MP’s expenses, and was not required to explain or pay back any allowance claimed since becoming an MP in 2005.

The House of Commons Authorities have now published full details every MPs expense claims since 2004, and you can read my full expense claims by clicking here. You can also read my Declaration of Interests here.

As you may be aware, the House of Commons have now introduced a new allowances system for MP which is to be operated by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA). The new scheme will come into force from May 2010, and will make some important reforms to the old, discredited expenses system.
