MPS UNITE IN CALL TO REVISE NORTH EAST REGIONAL SPATIAL STRATEGY
In an adjournment debate yesterday in the House of Commons, Helen led calls for the Secretary of State for Local Government (Ruth Kelly) to reconsider draft proposals for the North East Regional Spatial Strategy.

Helen launches Commercialisation of Childhood Charter
At the Compass National Conference on Saturday, Helen launched a Charter calling for the protection of children from advertising and for increased opportunities for children to participate in outdoor play.
